Chairman of Tiri, an independent non-governmental organisation that works with governments, business and civil society to find practical solutions to making integrity work. Improvements in integrity offer perhaps the single largest opportunity for sustainable and equitable development worldwide.

Tiri's two groundbreaking networks are the Public Integrity Education Network (PIEN) and the Network for Integrity in Reconstruction (NIR). Tiri is working to strengthen existing networks among chief judges and chief election commissioners. In 2008 Tiri launched the Business Integrity Working Group.  Tiri has major projects in Indonesia, The Middle East, Asia and Africa.

 

Tuustee of Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees.  MAP has been working in Lebanon, Syria, Gaza and the Occupied Palestinian Territories for more than 25 years with offices in Ramallah, Gaza, Beirut and London.

Director of Guardian News and Media Ltd publisher of the The Guardian and The Observer national newspapers, Money Observer and Guardian Weekly.  The Guardian owns a number of internet sites under the guardian.co.uk  brand as well as Learn.co.uk, MediaGuardian, SocietyGuardian, EducationGuardian and Politics  (since 2001 - 2006)

Shreeveport

Director of Shreeveport Ltd (now part of Andeman Advisory Services) - a recognised leader in corporate performance enhancement. It specialises in advising companies in corporate development and supporting mergers and acquisitions. (1997 - 2007).

Language Line

Chairman of Language Line Ltd , a telephone based language interpreting and language solutions service providing interpretation into English from 140 languages (1996 to 2006).  The Company was founded by Lord Young of Dartington in 1990 as a charity.  It  was supported in a VC backed management buyout in 1999 by ECI Ventures and a second buyout backed by ISIS Equity Partners in 2003.  It was sold in 2006  to Language Line Services in California

Viewgate Networks

Director of ViewGate Networks Ltd (1997 to 2001),  the leading technological innovator of real-time, on-demand service delivery management  that enables the provider to offer managed services to its customers.  ViewGate was acquired by Axiom Systems Ltd in 2003

Netcentric Systems plc

 

Director of Netcentric Systems plc (2000 to 2001).  The AIM listed company was a supplier of Web Content Management software.

Conclusive

Chairman of Conclusive Logic Ltd, a venture capital backed company, whose software bridges the gap between e-business and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) deployments of digital certificates. . Based in Vienna, Virginia and in the UK.  (2000 to 2002)

 

Telematix Ltd

Director of Telematix Ltd (2000 to 2001).  Using the GPS network of satellites and GSM technology, Telematix has developed one of the most sophisticated vehicle tracking, security and management services. The Company was acquired by Broadspan in June 2001.

 

Integrated Micro Products

Director of Integrated Micro Products (1995 to 1996), a NASDAQ quoted company, the pioneer developer of fault tolerant SPARC computers for the telecommunications industry. The company was acquired by Sun Microsystems in 1996.
